Client had a stack of notes saved about different philosophers and wanted an easy way to review them daily. This was my first ever full stack application. You can sort the philosophers by clicking on Name or by selecting Date of Birth.

I chose the word 'Logos' because it means 'word, thought, principle, or speech' and has been used among both philosophers and theologians. Seems fitting for a philosophy website. I used the Phi symbol as the favicon, main logo, and home button because it is 'named after the Greek alphabet, Phi represents the mathematical golden ratio 1.618/Unity - oneness, nothingness, and everything at once, pure beauty.

I selected a marble background because it was light, inoffensive and fits in with the marble busts of philosophers. I then used Photopea online to modify the white marble to be 30% opacity with an underlayer of #ffffff Then for Dark mode I used the same marble image but at 10% and #000000
